Our barley wine is on the lower side of alcohol for this style while retaining a big mouthfeel and generous aroma of hops. The flavor begins malty with a balanced citrus note from the blended American hops then finishes with a lingering hop finish. | Black Forest Hefeweizen - $6.00 This light golden-yellow wheat beer is a hybrid style using ale yeast, but undergoing a short period of aging at lager temperatures. Hefe-weizen has the refreshing aroma of an authentic Bavarian weize Black Forest Chocolate Doppelbock $6.00 There are many stories of how bock beer began. Bock means goat in German, and goats have remained the symbol for these beers with a “kick”. Bock beers are famous for their increased alcohol levels, and accordingly a doppelbock indicates a bock of double strength, or double kick. Rich brown in color with a sweet and balanced maltiness, our bock is rich in Munich malt’s toasty flavor with notes of chocolate, from the addition of Mexican chocolate to the boil, and a subdued hop finish. |
